President Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on Wednesday conveyed festival greetings to members of non‑Communist political parties, the All‑China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), individuals without party affiliation, and other members of the united front ahead of the Spring Festival, or Chinese New Year.
Xi, who is also President of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered his greetings during an annual gathering with non‑CPC figures at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Addressing the meeting, Xi noted that 2025 had been an extraordinary year. Faced with profound and complex changes both domestically and internationally, the CPC Central Committee united and led the entire Party and the Chinese people to overcome difficulties and work hard to achieve major goals and accomplish essential tasks in economic and social development.
These hard‑won achievements, Xi added, were the result of the Party’s strong leadership and the joint efforts of the Chinese people, including members of democratic parties and groups, the ACFIC, and individuals without party affiliation.
