Ahmed Haggagovic, Egyptian adventurer and globe‑trotter, has visited 191 countries. And for him, one country stands out: China. “I can leave my bag at the train station, even if there are half a million people. I think it’s very unlikely that anyone would take it,” he said. “China is a safe place where children, families, and women can walk in the streets at night.”
Known as “the king of travel,” this 41‑year‑old adventurer began his journeys around the world in 2007. With 5.25 million fans on Facebook and 1.32 million followers on Instagram, accuracy matters when describing the world. “Seeing is believing. People love my videos because I film reality. They use my eyes and my videos as if they were traveling the world themselves,” he explained.
“This is my 15th visit to China, and every time I come, new things happen. Over the past ten years, China has changed enormously,” said Ahmed Haggagovic. On each visit, he travels to different cities to discover diverse regional cultures.
While visiting a garment factory in Nanchang, an export clothing company in Jiangxi Province (eastern China), he carefully selected colors while touching the fabric. “I want to customize a batch of T‑shirts for my social media and fans,” he said.
In 2010, Ahmed Haggagovic traveled by train from Russia to China for the first time. “On the train, I saw Chinese people for the first time. They didn’t speak English and I didn’t speak Chinese, but we shared food.”
“When I arrived in China, I realized that China was completely different from what I had imagined,” he noted.
He highlighted China’s developments, citing remarkable changes in infrastructure, technology, and urban landscapes. “Recently, I posted videos of drone deliveries, high‑speed trains, robots, and autonomous cars in China. More and more people on social media tell me they want to visit China,” he said.
“As a traveler, I want to continue promoting China to the world,” he concluded. #chinatravel
